Shane Thompson, Principal of BVN Architecture is creative director of the largest Australian architectural event taking place at the Shanghai Expo.
The Queensland Government commissioned Mr Thompson to produce an exhibition and event for the Shanghai Expo to promote Queensland architects and architecture to the world.

Sixteen Queensland architecture and related design businesses are included in the exhibition which will open in the Australian Pavilion on Monday 21 June.

They include: BVN Architecture, Congrad Gargett, Architectus, PLACE, Donovan Hill, Richard Kirk, Fairweather Proberts, Riddel Architecture, Cox Rayner, Arkhefield, Hassell, DBI, Populous, Elizabeth Watson-Brown and BDA.

Queensland Treasurer and Minister for Employment, Economic Development and Innovation, the Hon. Andrew Fraser, will officiate at the opening that will be attended by China’s industry leaders along with government officials and key academics.

This event is part of the Queensland Government’s HEAT initiative and will include business matching activities with Chinese and other international firms to increase export services.

Following the Expo, the exhibition will go to the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre in the People’s Square.  ENDS
