Bendigo Bank Headquarters received two awards at the Victorian RAIA Awards on Friday night - the Commercial Architecture Award and the Regional Prize.
Commencing in 2003, BVN lead the design on the project in association with local architects Gray Puksand. The building was completed in 2008. The project has made a significant contribution to the city of Bendigo both from an architectural and urban response as well as supporting business in the local community.
The jury's comments were, 'Designed by the architects as a low rise campus, both the building and fit-out skilfully articulate an open and egalitarian corporate culture, achieved through a combination of large floor plates, carefully sized atrium spaces, connecting stairs, abundant hang out spaces and a convincing range of outdoor terraces'. 'Bendigo Bank headquarters has a convincing coherency that escalates it beyond the standard into the realm of a civic citizen.'

ITBX has received two regional commendations awards......for the RAIA Bris QLD Awards 2009, ART AND ARCHITECTURE CATEGORY and FDG STANLEY AWARD PUBLIC ARCHITECTURE CATEGORY
ART AND ARCHITECTURE
The jury commented, "Exploring ideas of transience and movement, these perceptually engaging works offer surprising and delightful interruptions to the ubiquity of the airport experience for the traveler. They are inspired by a strong curatorial vision and supported by considered integration with the building".
PUBLIC ARCHITECTURE
The jury commented, "An extension to an existing complex operational facility based on the successful airport masterplan. The project had to address multiple layers of challenging program requirements and commercial influences. The northern concourse extension in particular responds to the passengers journey and heightening experience of travel".
