BVN entered into a Project Alliance Agreement with Queensland Transport, Leighton Contractors, Maunsell Australia, Coffey Geosciences and EDAW Gillespies to design and build the vital underground section of Brisbane’s Inner Northern Busway (INB) system between Queen Street and Roma Street in the heart of the city.
This section of the INB, costing some $330 million, extends the tunnel from Queen Street bus Station under the Myer Centre through King George Square car park with a portal behind Roma Street. It can handle up to 250 buses an hour in each direction: and is used by around 48,000 passengers daily.
